Leave a gift in your Will Our mission is to continue to offer support to people with mental health needs now and in the future. Gifts left in Wills are crucial to the success of this work. Making a Will is the best way to set out the people and charities who you would like to benefit from your property and possessions. If you are thinking of leaving a gift to CAPE in your Will you will find lots of useful information here.
Our CAPE volunteers play an important role in supporting our clients and make a huge difference to the range of services we can offer.
Without them, we simply would not be able to deliver our services, which help hundreds of people living in the London Borough of Ealing suffering with mental health needs every year. Anyone can volunteer. It does not matter what your skills, experience or background are, or how much time you have to give. Even if you only have a couple of hours a week to spare, we’ll have something to suit you.
If you are thinking of giving your time to help us, there are probably quite a few questions running through your mind. What should I do? Where do I go? How do I sign up? The best thing to do is to fill out this application form and send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some Volunteering Opportunities at CAPE
- Befriending Everyone needs other people, but not everyone has someone. Befriending offers supportive, reliable relationships through volunteer befrienders to support people who would otherwise be socially isolated. The results of befriending can be very significant. Befriending often provides people with a new direction in life, opens up a range of activities and leads to increased self-esteem and self confidence. This befriending is done in our CAPE cafe area.
- Catering Our CAPE cafe is always looking for volunteers to help in our kitchen. Helping to prepare the meal, washing up, working on the till or baking cakes. You don’t need to be a great cook as our Catering Manager Shelagh will be there to help you every step of the way.
- Running Groups We run numerous groups/workshops in CAPE and are always looking for people to help us run weekly groups or one off workshops. If you think you would be able to run a group please let us know.
Fundraise at work Get your colleagues and business supporting CAPE. Companies will often match the amount of money that an employee raises for a charity. Even if they don’t they might make a company donation. Many companies choose to support a charity for one year – you could suggest that your company choose to support CAPE. If you have a company newsletter or intranet, you could write an article to prompt sponsors. Arrange a company social and ask everyone to make a donation. Organise a dress down day at work – this could be fancy dress or just jeans, whatever you decide! You could hold a raffle in aid of CAPE which is an easy and fun way to raise money in the office!
Fundraise in your community Getting together with friends, family and neighbours or taking on a personal challenge is a great way to support CAPE. The only limit on what you do is your imagination. From holding a concert, to washing cars, to collections and sponsored silences, the options are limitless. If you can help us in anyway with volunteering or raising funds please call Tracey Harrington our Project Director on 020 8896 2552, email email@example.com
